Therefore, we focused our work on Amtrak’s efforts to identify and mitigate risks to the successful implementation of PTC by the December 31, 2015, deadline mandated by RSIA. Specifically, our objective was to report on the extent to which Amtrak is addressing what are currently the most significant challenges to successful PTC implementation.
