Close-out Memorandum: Construction and Specialized Equipment & Vehicles

On November 16, 2015, we initiated an audit of the adequacy of Amtrak's management and oversight of its construction and specialized equipment and vehicles, which was a follow-up to audit work we had previously initiated. However, we suspended work on this audit in January 2016 to focus on other higher-priority audits. We are not resuming this work and are terminating the audit.
We appreciate the time and cooperation provided by Amtrak personnel, particularly Engineering department staff, during the course of our work.
