EMPLOYEE TERMINATED FOR MISUSE OF TRAVEL PASS PRIVILEGES

An Amtrak marketing intern based in Washington, D.C., was terminated from employment on April 14, 2026, as a result of our investigation. We found that the former employee violated company policies by allowing an individual who was not entitled to travel privileges to travel on the train using his pass rider privileges. During his interview, the former employee admitted to allowing a friend to ride free of charge on Amtrak using his pass rider travel privileges. The former employee is not eligible for rehire.
