FORMER EMPLOYEE SENTENCED FOR ABUSE OF GSA FUEL CARD

A former Amtrak electrician based in North Bergen, New Jersey, pleaded guilty on June 22, 2026, in Hudson County Court, New Jersey, to disorderly conduct. The former employee was sentenced the same day, admitted into the Conditional Dismissal Program, and ordered to pay $3,571.35 to Amtrak. The former employee was originally charged with fraudulent use of a credit card and theft by deception but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of disorderly conduct. Our investigation found that the former employee fraudulently used a Wright Express fuel card to purchase over $4,000 in fuel for multiple personal vehicles.
