EMPLOYEE RETIRED IN LIEU OF TERMINATION FOR OPERATING PERSONALLY OWNED BUSINESS ON COMPANY COMPUTER
An Amtrak lead customer service representative based in Savannah, Georgia, retired from the company on August 21, 2026, prior to his administrative hearing. Our investigation found that the former employee violated company policies by using a company-issued computer and company e-mail to perform work for his personally owned travel agency during his shifts. When we interviewed him, he initially lied to agents but eventually admitted to these actions. The former employee is not eligible for rehire.
