TWO EMPLOYEES TERMINATED FOR MISUSE OF FMLA LEAVE

An Amtrak passenger conductor and an assistant passenger conductor, both based in New York City, New York, were terminated from employment on August 11, 2026, following an administrative hearing. Our investigation found that the former employees violated company policy by misusing leave granted under the Family and Medical Leave Act. The former employees are not eligible for rehire.
