SENTENCING FOR EMPLOYEE CONVICTED OF POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE COCAINE

On September 28, 2017, a former Amtrak baggage handler was sentenced in the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, to 18 months in federal prison and 36 months of probation upon release. The former employee was terminated in November 2016 for stealing an Amtrak Express Freight shipment that contained three to four kilograms of cocaine.
